    松江古稱華亭，別名有云間、茸城、谷水等，是江南地區最有名氣的的魚米聞名全國。唐天寶幾年（75一年），置華亭縣。元至元十3年（127七年）升為華亭府，翌年改成松江府。至清嘉慶幾年（1805年）演變成為1府♐（松江）、7縣（華亭、昆山、青浦、婁、奉賢、金山、南匯）、1廳（川沙𒅌）。民國元年（19十二年）廢府，華亭、婁縣合同心同德華亭縣，歸寧波省管理。民國三年期（1913年）改稱松江縣。一汽解放后，蘇南行政性署設松江版官。1956年三月份，松江版官撤消，改隸昆山版官。1956年1就在今年1月份由寧波省劃歸昆山市。1996年3月，國家審批撤縣設區。
Songjiang, once called Huating in ancient times, also known as Yunjian, Rongcheng, and Gushui, is a famous town south of the Yangtze River. In 751 of the Tang Dynasty, Songjiang was named Huating County. In 1277, during the Yuan Dynasty, it was named Huating Prefecture, which was changed to Songjiang꧙ Prefecture the next year. Then, in 1805, in the Qing Dynasty, it was developed into Song🌳jiang Prefecture with Huating, Shanghai, Qingpu, Lou, Fengxian, Jinshan, Nanhui, and Chuansha Counties subject to it. In 1912, when the prefecture was abolished, Huating and Lou were merged into Huating County of Jiangsu Province. In 1914, Huating County was changed to Songjiang County. After liberation, the area became Songjiang Special District. In March 1958, it was merged into Suzhou Special District, and in November, Songjiang became a county of Shanghai. Then, in February 1998, the State Council approved Songjiang as a district.

    松江區水汽屬黃浦江水體，上受淀山湖、太湖、浙北天目山等處來水，經黃浦江下泄入江海。境內河渠叢橫，水塘有很多，是類型的水🃏網區域。全部拒馬河均系感潮河道治理，每日夜漲、落各2次。

The total designed disposal capacity of Tianma Waste-free Environmental Protection Industrial Park reached 2.13 million tons/year, including Tianma Incineration Plant Phase I and Phase II, Wet Waste Recycling Treatment Plant, Construction Waste Recycling Treatment Plant, and the disposal capacity was at the forefront of Shanghai. The district started the Wet Waste Disposal Expansion Project, of which construction progress was the fastest among the seven similar projects i𓃲n Shanghai. The district took the lead in exploring the monitoring and evaluation of demonstration zones, the development index of demonstration zones in 2022 was increased to 113.37 points (based on 2021, with a score of 100 points). The evaluation of urban digital transformation in 2022 ranked third in Shanghai. Focusing on the extension of the industrial chain and ecological construction, 22 joint laborator🤡ies/professional research institutions, 14 innovation centers, 6 national public service platforms, and 4 data centers for the industrial✨ internet were introduced and built in the district.

    2030年末，全國有公立三甲醫院醫治環境安全組織 29個，靠譜環境安全技能專業人員6340人，單床數3885張。長期性達成門急診量689.04數萬次，門急診均次相應費用273.10元。全國戶藉入口平均水平面期望會生存期83.8小于，表中，男人81.67歲，女子86.0六歲；新生寶寶意外致死率1.13‰，孕產婦意外致死率0，立刻維持世界級最富裕一個國家和的地方水平面。
By the end of 2022, there were 29 public medic🍷al and health institutions with 6,340 professional health technicians and 3,885 beds. In the whole year, the amount of outpatient and emergency treatment reached 6.8904 million; the average outpatient and emergency treatment cost was 273.1 yuan. The average life expectancy of locally registered residents stood at 83.81 years - 81.66 for males and 86.05 for females. The infant mortality rate was 1.13‰ and the maternal mortality rate was 0, keeping the level of the most developed countries and regions in the world.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, flow surveys and tracing were carried out to “race against the virus”, with the average time of tracking down positive patients being 3 hours faster than the average time of Shanghai. Songjiang took the lead in realizing the disinfection and sterilization stock clearance, completing the preparation and operation of the No. 1-4 main shelter in the shortest time, making concerted efforts to allocate 1,587 medical personnel to enter the shelter and designated hospitals, establishing a district-level medical treatment expert group, expanding the number of treatment beds to 15,450 at the peak, and doing a good job in the treatment of positive patients by classification. The district actively responded to the medical needs of residents and 6,610 medical requests from residents were efficiently handled in enclosed areas. On May 1st, Songjiang became the only major district with a population exceeding one million among the first six districts in Shanghai to achieve basic social clearance. Songjiang promoted the dual improvement of public health service level and medical and health service capacity, and started the construction of Songjiang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Jiaotong University Medical College Songjiang Research Institute. In 2022, the district held a serie𒈔s of famous ev⛎ents, such as Sheshan New Year’s Day Climbing and amateur football league matches. During the whole year, the district hosted or co-organized 14 municipal competitions and activities, and 121 district-level competitions and activities, attracting more than 100,000 citizens to participate in various sports events. In 2022, Songjiang District Delegation participated in the 17th Shanghai Games, won 75.25 gold medals, 67.5 silver medals, and 48 bronze medals.

In 202✃2, Songjiang tourism revenues reached 8.143 billion yuan, down by 35.6% over the previous year. The total number of tourists reached 10.1368 million, down by 38.6% over the previous year. By the end of 2021, there were 7 star-rated hotels in Songjiang, including 3 five-star hotels, 2 four-star hotels, and 2 t🐟hree-star hotels. During the year, tourist hotels in Songjiang received 1.2952 million guests, the average room occupancy rate was 45.54%. InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland is innovative design work. It took 12 years to finish the construction of the hotel. This novel hotel follows the natural environment and makes full use of the curved surface of the quarry rock f🔥ace to hang and build on it. The main body is composed of 2 layers above the surface and 15 layers 88 meters below the surface, which makes the world amazed. The hotel is located at the Tianma Hill quarry near Sheshan Hill, 32 kilometers away from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, also adjacent to Sheshan National Forest Park, Chenshan Botanical Garden, and other tourist attractions. The hotel has about 900 square meters of pillarless banquet hall and 5 multi-functional conference rooms with different areas.     佘山國度原始林文化公園是傷害僅有的國度級自然而然山嶺熱門游玩景點，管理大小不一267公傾，因此出游自然保護區原始林網絡占有率高達80.04%。園區12座山脈仿佛12顆大小不一不一的翡翠玉從華中趨勢北方，逶迤連綿13公里遠，使一馬平川的傷害平原區則呈出現出秀靈多姿的山嶺景觀規劃。1995年6月，由原國度造林部批復開發佘山國度原始林文化公園，2002年被認為國度很早一批4A級出游因此出游自然保護𒈔區。現向外放開的游玩景點有：東佘山園、西佘山園、天馬山園、小上海園。
Sheshan National Forest Park is the only natural mountainous forest touring site in Shanghai. The Park covers an area of 267 acres with 80.04% of the scenic spot covered by forests. There are 12 hills in the park, stretching their way from the southwest to the northeast, like a string of jade pearls with a total length of 13km, offeܫring Shanghai’s flat land a mountainous view. In June 1993, the former National Ministry of Forestry approved the establishment of Sheshan National Forest Park. In 2001, it was hon🐻ored as one of the first national 4A-level touring sites. The scenic spots that opened to the public are East Sheshan Hill Park, West Sheshan Hill Park, Tianmashan Hill Park, and Xiaokunshan Hill Park.

    廣州辰山綠植的園
     Shanghai Chenshan Bot🤡anical G🌊arden
    佛山辰山動動沉水動綠色動植被園在松江區佘山國家的的旅游活動蜜月旅行區內（辰花公路工程3889號），是市政道路工程工程府、全國科學課院和國家的的林草局企業合作互建的集科技研究、科晉和觀看瀏覽于混合式的終合性動動沉水動綠色動植被園，征地賠償空間207平方公里,是西北位置總量更大的動動沉水動綠色動植被園。動動沉水動綠色動植被幼兒園內的辰山古遺存，2018年4月被市政道路工程工程府宣布為佛山市文化遺產護理院校。該遺存2015初發現，空間約為16平方公里，進行初步確定為商周南北朝時期古語化遺存。
產業園區由服務中心表現區、花草保育區、十二大洲花草區和外場緩沖器區等這幾種特點區帶來。展銷會溫室展銷會建筑面積為12608m2米，由亞熱帶花果館、沙生花草館和珍奇花草館包含，為歐洲比較大展銷會溫室群，當中沙生花草館為當今世界比較大廠區室內沙🗹生花草展示館。現為地區4A級風景區。
Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden is in Sheshan National Tourist Resort (No.3888 Chenhua Highway). It is created through collaboration between the Shanghai Municipal Government, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the State Forestry Administration, which combines scientific research, popular science, and sightseeing purpose. This remarkable 207-hectare botanical garden is the largest one in East China. Chenshan Ancient Site in the garden was announced by Shanghai Municipal Government as a cultural relics protection unit of Shanghai in April 2014. The site was first found in early 2009, covering an area of about 16 hectares. It is preliminarily determined to be an ancient cultural site in the Shang and Zhou dynasties.
The botanical garden consists of four functional areas: the central exhibition area, the plant conservation area, the plant areas on five continents, and the peripheral buffer zone. The exhibition greenhouse covers an area of 12,608 💙square meters. It consists of Tropical Flower and Fruit Museum, Sand Botany Museum, and Exotic Botany Museum. It is the largest exhibition greenhouse group in Asia. Among them, Sand Botany Museum is the largest indoor sand botany exhibition hall in the world. Now Chenshan Botanical Garden is a national 4A-level scenic spot.

    蘇州方塔園
   &ens🐎p; S🌱hanghai Square Pagoda Park
上海方塔園始建于1978年，占地182畝，原址為唐宋時期古華亭的鬧市中心。園內有各級不可移動文物共8處，其中包括興圣教寺塔，1996年11月被國務院公布為全國重點文物保護單位；蘭瑞堂、磚刻照壁、陳化成祠、天妃宮和望仙橋，2014年4月被市政府公布為上海市文物保護單位；明代石像生、張氏宅前廳，2013年6月被公布為松江區文物保護單位。
整個園景以北宋的方塔為中心，四周環設宋代望仙橋,明代磚雕照壁、蘭瑞堂、石雕園,清代天妃宮、陳公祠,還建有何陋軒、其昌廊等。現為國家4A級景區。
Established in 1978, Shanghai Square Pagoda Park covers an area of 182 mu. Its original site was the downtown of Huating during the Tang and Song Dynasties. There are 8 national, municipal, and district unmovable cultural relics in the park, including Xingshengjiao Temple Pagoda, which was announced as national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in November 1996; Lanrui Hall, Screen Wall of Engraved Bricks, Chen Huacheng Memorial Temple, Temple of the Queen of Heaven and Wangxian Bridge were announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in April 2014, Stone Statues of Ming Dynasty, Front Hall of Zhang’s Residence were announced as Songjiang district relics protection unit in June 2013.
The entire landscape is centered on the Square Pagoda of the Northern Song D꧙ynasty, surrounded by the Wangxian Bridge of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Screen Wall of Engraved Bricks of the Ming Dynasty, Lanrui Hall, stone carving garden, the Temple of the Queen of Heaven, Chen Huacheng Memorial Hall, Helou Veranda, Qichang Corridor and so on. The park is rated as a national 4A-level scenic spot.

    杭州醉白池恍若公園
 &enღsp; &eಞnsp; Shanghai Zuibaichi Park
    醉白池是廣州幾項精典園藝景觀之首，占地面積76畝。校幼兒垂釣區有多處不挪動古物，里面：醉白池，201歷經四年4月被市政公用工程府公示為廣州市古物呵護院校；鏤空鏤花廳，1985年10月被公示為松江縣古物呵護院校。園藝景觀取決于宋朝松江進士朱之純的私家里院，名“谷陽園”。后為北京在明大字名畫家董其昌觴詠處，也是明星文學士常游之島。清順康年間，工部郎中、田園現代詩人、名畫家顧大申重加建造，因崇敬唐大田園現代詩人白居易，仿宋宰相韓琦慕白之意，將所建池上園藝景觀起名為“醉白池”，有史以來已經在的370年歷吏。校幼兒垂釣區現保存圖片著宋朝的韓國樂天集團軒，北京在明的三ꦏ面廳、疑舫、留學堂，宋代池上草堂、雪海堂、寶成樓、鏤空鏤花廳等亭閣樓閣；保存有元趙孟頫毛筆字美術真跡《前、后赤壁賦》石刻、宋代《云間邦彥肖像》碑刻等美術瑰寶。校幼兒垂釣區擺的當代毛筆字美術大師題字匾聯更加是不記其數。現為歐洲國家4A級景點景區。
With an area of 76 mu, Shanghai Zuibaichi Park is one of the five ancient gardens in Shanghai. There are two immovable cultural relics in the park, including Zuibaichi, which was announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in April 2014; Woodcarving Hall, which was announced as Songjiang County Cultural Relics Protection Unit in July 1985. The predecessor of the garden was Guyang Garden, the residence of Zhu Zhichun, a jinshi (a 🧸successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations) in the Song Dynasty. The garden was also a place for Dong Qichang (a famous calligrapher and painter in Ming Dynasty) to drin𓄧k and write poems. 370 years ago, during the period of Shunzhi and Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, it was a private villa of Gu Dashen, chief of the Ministry of Works, poet, and painter, he rebuilt the garden and changed its name to “Zuibaichi” because he worshipped Bai Juyi (poet of the Tang dynasty), also imitated Han Qi, the prime minister of the Song Dynasty, who admired Bai Juyi. The garden has many pavilions, terraces, and open halls such as Letian Xuan (a small room or veranda with windows) of the Song Dynasty, Simian (four sides) Hall, Yi Fang (a boat-shaped building), Reading Hall of the Ming Dynasty, and Cottage above the Pool, Xuehai Hall, Baocheng Building, Woodcarving Hall of the Qing Dynasty. Art treasures such as stone carvings of Zhao Mengfu’s calligraphy authentic works “Visit to the Red Cliff” of the Yuan Dynasty and steles of “Portraits of Excellent Talents in Yunjian” of the Qing Dynasty are collected in the park. There are countless contemporary calligraphers’ inscribed tablets and couplets hanging in the park. Now the park is rated as a national 4A-level scenic spot.

    廣富林技術 古跡
 &e♓nsp;  Guangfulin Site of Ancient C🌜ulture
    廣富林人文精神遺存最靠近松江片區北方,東至龍源路，南至廣富林路西至沈涇塘，北至銀澤北路，整一個物流園區的規模達標850畝，2020評為為4A級親子旅游度假景點旅游度假，當年評為沈陽市產業生態圈親子旅游度假代表性規范化領域。是到目前為止經考古學家發覺的沈陽29處遺存中包含了的內容最雄厚,最具愛護與搭建商業價值的古人文精神遺存。廣富林人文精神遺存197八年被出爐為沈陽市文化遺產古跡性愛護點；于2013 年10月被財政部核準為第十九批山東省文化遺產古跡性愛護企事業單位；知也橋，16年一月被出爐為松江區文化遺產古跡性愛護點。
廣富林人文精神遺存以考古發現遺存守護區為管理的本質，對古遺存對其進行原始態守護和產生 ，顯現農業生產企業藝術風景林資源人文精神，顯現原生態的果園景致。極深的人文精神人文教育♔內涵是廣富林的項依據管理的本質競爭激烈力, 整體的經濟區規劃方案規劃了四大管轄區，西中南部是儒道佛人文精神提供區，南部地區是企業生活設施工作區，東部是民俗民風人文精神提供區，中南部是挖出文化水平課課遺產提供區，太平洋沿岸是農業生產企業藝術人文精神守護區。與松江府城、倉城、泗涇古鎮等發展歷史人文精神風光區相映襯,將成為滬上“角度人文精神尋根世界之旅”的依據地一種。
Guangfulin Site of Ancient Culture is in the north of Songjiang New City, it spans Longyuan Road to the east, Guangfulin Road to the south, Shenjing River to the west, and North Yinze Road to the north. Covering an area of about 850 mu, it was rated as a 4A level tourist attraction in 2020, and in the same year, it was awarded the title of a comprehensive tourism demonstration area in Shanghai. It is currently the most abundant and valuable ancient cultural site for protection and development among the 29 archaeological discoveries in Shanghai. Guangfulin Site of Ancient Culture was announced as Shanghai Municipal cultural relics protection point in 1977, and a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in March 2013; Zhiye Bridge was announced as Songjiang district cultural relics protection point in January 2016.
The site takes the protection zone of the archaeological site as its core and presents its original form with farming ecological culture and authentic rural scenery. The profound culture is the core competitiveness of Guanꦜgfulin. The entire park is planned and designed with five major areas: the eastern part is the Confucian, Taoist, and Buddhist culture exhibition area, the southern part is the commercial supporting service area, the western part is the folk culture exhibition area, the northern part is the unearthed cultural relics exhibition area, and the central part is the agricultural culture protection area. Guangfulin echoes Songjiang Prefectural City, Songjiang City of Warehouse, Sijing Ancient Town, and other historical an🤪d cultural scenes, which has become the destination of the “Root-seeking Journey of Profound Culture” in Shanghai.

Shanghai Pujiang River Source Scenic Spot is the starting point of Shanghai’s mother river, Huangpu River, also known as the “Zero Kilometer of Huangpu River”. The Xietang River and Yuanxiejing Creek, which meander from Jiangsu and Zhejiang, converge here to form a delta-shaped treasure land and flow into Huangpu River through Hengliaojing Creek. At the confluence of the three rivers, the river is vast, the sailboats in the river competing for the current, the nets rising and falling by the river, the reeds on the bund swaying, the pink peaches and green willows setting each other off. These breeds the endless scenery of a water town in the south of the Yangtze River, from which the scenic spot got its name “Pujiang River Source”. The whole scenic spot is divided into two parts: the aboveground part is “Shu-Liu-Li🉐-Yun Pagoda” and “Chunshen Hall”, while the underground part is “Water Culture Exhibition Hall”. Songjiang Museum is a local chronicles museum, where the historical relics in Songjiang are collected, researched, and exhibited. The 2-story exhibition room covers an area of 1,200 square meters. The basic exhibition of “Treasures Buried in the Sand”, which is divided into 3 portions named “Dawn of Huangpu River”, “Glisten of the Historical River” and “Painting Arts”, is on the second floor. The exhibition scientifically shows the cultural relics, which are held in the museum and unearthed in Songjiang, and reflects the achievements during the different periods of social development combined with landscape restoration, lightbox, multimedia, and other auxiliary display methods. The first floor is a temporary exhibition hall, and various special exhibitions are held from time to time. Located on the east and west sides outside the exhibition hall, the Stele Gallery is composed of long corridors and tablet pavilions. The East Stele Gallery displays the historical materials and inscriptions of Songjiang Prefecture during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. 💞The West Stele Gallery displays the calligraphic art inscriptions of Zhao Mengfu, Dong Qicha𝐆ng, and Shen Quan.

     Sutra Pillꦕar of the Tang Dynasty
&eꦺnsp;   唐經幢全名“佛頂尊勝陀羅尼經幢”，應用于松江區中深圳路西司弄43號中山完全小學校園生活內，建于唐大中13年（859年），1987年就在今年1月份被國務院辦公廳揭曉為全球內容古鋼結構建筑保護措施基層單位，是佛山地區劃分迄今最源遠流長的地上鋼結構建筑。經幢不銹鋼材質為生石灰粉巖，迄今21級，高9.3米。幢身8面，內刻《佛頂尊勝陀羅尼經》并序，各種建幢銘。縣級區分以托座、束腰、柱體、華蓋、腰檐等風格疊成恣態幽美的經幢，每級大局部作八角形，雕琢高質量，有的海水紋、寶相芙蓉、卷云、力士、帝王、佛菩薩、奉養人及盤龍、蹲獅等。八棱八面，故又被叫做為八棱碑，通稱“唐經幢”，俗名“石塔”。
The Sutra Pillar of the Tan🌌g Dynasty is locat🎶ed at the campus of Zhongshan Primary School, No.43 Xisi Alley, East Zhongshan Road, Songjiang. Its full name is the Usnisa Vijaya Dharani Sutra Pillar. Built in the Tang Dynasty (859) and announced by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit in January 1988, the pillar is the oldest ground building in Shanghai. The limestone pillar is built of 21 stone blocks with a height of 9.3 meters, engraved with Usnisa Vijaya Dharani Sutra and the preface, as well as the building inscription. All the levels are stacked in the form of brackets, corbels, columns, canopies, and waist eaves to compose a graceful sutra pillar. Most of the sutras at each level are octagonal, exquisitely carved, with sea water patterns, precious lotus flowers, cirrus clouds, warriors, heavenly kings, bodhisattvas, patronage, dragons, squatting lions, etc. With eight ridges and eight slides, it is also known as the Eight-Ridge Pillar, commonly known as the “Sutra Pillar of the Tang Dynasty”, also known as the “Stone Pillar”.
    大倉橋
     Dacang Bridge
    大倉橋為于永豐街辦中山西省路倉橋弄南，2018年4月被披ဣ露為深圳市歷史文物保障方，一座高10余米，跨高50余米的五孔拱型大石橋。橋真名꧅永豐，因橋南為松江府漕運倉城，故通稱大倉橋。現為深圳省市世界聞名的明清大石橋其一。
Located at Cangqiao Lane South, West Zhongshan Road in Yongfeng Sub-district, Dacang Bridge was announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in April 2014. The five-arch stone bridge spans 50 meters long and 10 meters high over the river. It was formerly known as Yongfeng Bridge and later ♏named Dacang Bridge for there was Water Transport Warehouse City of Songjiang Prefecture to the south of the bridge. It is one of the famous big stone bridges of the Ming Dynasty in Shanghai.
    清真寺
     Mosque
    松江清真寺坐落在岳陽的大街上路道橋居委會缸甏巷75號，1980年3月被披露為蘇州市文物古跡保護好組織，是蘇州地段較早的伊斯蘭教佛寺，初建于元至正車間（1342年—1365年），初名真教寺。明代五代十國年間 次數修繕和修建，那么，現在的中國的清真寺舉例說明元代五代十國年間的產品工程施工的杭州特色，又有明代第一🌊代和第二代的產品工程施工的杭州特色。主要體現產品工程施工產生大殿、窯殿、穿ඣ廊，另有南、北講壇，邦克門等，至少窯殿和邦克門某處最具該寺產品工程施工的杭州特色。
Located at No.75 Gangbeng Alley, Maluqiao Neighborhood Committee in Yueyang Sub-district, Songjiang Mosque was announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in August 1980. As one of the oldest mosques in Shanghai, Songjiang Mosque was built during 1341-1368, also named Zhenjiao Mosque. After many renovations and expansions during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the mosque today features the style of construction o🐽f the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties. The main buildings include Central Hall, Kiln Hall, Crossing Corridor, North and South Speech Hall, and Bangke Chamber. Among them, the Kiln Hall and Bangke Chamber can best ꦕrepresent the traits of the Mosque.
    西林禪寺
     Xilin Temple
   ꦰ 西林禪寺，本名“西林精舍”，又稱崇恩寺，地處🍨松江區中山間路66六號，初建于唐咸通13年（872），僧睿增建于南宋咸淳元年（1265），現今為止另一1150年里經驗，是松江區佛學農學會的所以在地，為蘇州佛學幾大深林的一個。明洪武二十二年（1388年）重塑，明正統英宗歷代皇帝敕封“西林大明朝禪寺”。正殿后下有塔，宋名崇恩塔，明易為圓應塔，供奉一是代祖師圓應高僧舍利，簡稱“西林塔”，1982年4月被公布為蘇州市古物古跡保護企事業單位。塔身七層八面，磚木機構，塔高46.5米，現今為止仍為蘇州東北部最低且珍藏品古物古跡最高的這座古塔。
Located at No.666 Middle Zhongshan Road, Songjiang District, Xilin Temple, formerly known as “Xilin Jingshe”, also known as Chong’en Temple, was originally built in the Tang Dℱynasty (872), a monk named Rui extended the temple in the Southern Song Dynasty (1265). With a history of more than 1,150 years, Xilin Temple is the location of the Buddhist Association of Songjiang District and one of the top ten Buddhist monasteries in Shanghai. The temple was reconstructed in the Ming Dynasty (1387), an emperor named it as Xilin Temple of Ming. Behind the main hall, there stands a 46.5-meter-high, 7-story octagonal pagoda of brick and wood structure, which was called Chong’en Pagoda during the Song Dynasty, then named Yuanying Pagoda during Ming Dynasty, offering the Sarira of its first ancestor, Zen Master Yuanying, also well-known as Xilin Pagoda. Announced as Shanghai municipal cultural relics protection unit in September 1982, this pagoda is the tallest ancient pagoda in Shanghai with the most collection of cultural relics.
